SAP MM : How to Define Container Requirements in SAP?

Define Container Requirements

In this tutorial, you will learn how to define the container requirement, Defining container requirement means the type of container in which the material is stored and shipped. The container requirement field is stored at the Client level;  is valid for all plants.
This field is maintained in the Storage view on the material master record.

STEP 1: Following is the path to Define container requirement
  • IMG activity path :IMG > LOGISTICS – GENERAL  => MATERIAL MASTER  => SETTINGS FOR KEY FIELS=>  DEFINE CONTAINER REQUIREMENT
  • Transaction code : SPRO

STEP 2:  Click on execute button to create the new container requirement (Following type Window will open), Click on “New Entries” button to create the new container requirement

STEP 3:  Following type Window will open, Give appropriate name


 STEP 4:  Click on Save Button to store Configured data.
