SAP MM : How To DEFINE COMPANY ?







DEFINE COMPANY
A Company is an organizational unit in accounting which represents a Business organization according to the requirements of Commercial law in particular Country.
  • All Basic data of Each Company store in Company Definition
  • This is the highest level entity in SAP hierarchy for a company or group of company.
  • This should not be confused with the login client.
  • A Company cancomprise one or more Company Codes.
  • Company G0000 is preset in all foreign key tables.
SAP RECOMNDETION: 
  • If you only require One Company , SAP recommends to keep/use the preset company ID G00000
STEP 1: Following is the path For DEFINE COMPANY
  • IMG activity path :IMG > ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE > DEFINATION > FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING>DEFINE COMPANY
  • Transaction code : SPRO



STEP 2:  Click On SAP reference IMG Option, Go as per following Path 




STEP 3: Click on execute button to DEFINE COMPANY (Following type Window will open)


STEP 4: Click on New Entries button (Following type Window will open)


STEP 5:  Update the Following Data
·         Company : Give/Enter 4 digit Code
·         Company Name : Give Company Name ( Note that this is Client/Corporate/ Enterprise Name under which Different Company Codes are working  )
·         Company Name 2 : you can use if Company name is not completed in above section
·         Detail Information
o   Street: Enter Company Address
o   PO Box :Enter Company PO Box No.
o   Postal Code : Enter Company PIN Code
o   City: Enter City Name
o   Country : Select the Country Name in which Company is situated
o   Language Key : Select the Language Key
o   Currency :  Select the Currency In Which Company Maintain there Balance sheet


STEP 5:  Hit Enter Button &Then Click On Save Button to store Configured data

  • ·         Make sure that chart of accounts and Fiscal year must be same in all Company Codes & Company however you can use different  currencies
